About the Book
Letters to a Hospice Nurse is an opportunity for the reader to transform grief into joy.
In Letters to a Hospice Nurse, Nurse Derek J. Flores, RN shares a collection of letters written by family members which will help heal your own heart and celebrate lives which have been well lived. This is not a book about death and dying, it’s a book about lives that truly mattered. The motivation and purpose of this project is to invite you to share in the stories of people who were likely similar to your own loved one who has passed away.
The stories included in Letters To A Hospice Nurse are of people who lived amazing lives, many were from the Greatest Generation. Although the historic events which they participated could fill several volumes, these acts of courage and sacrifice are not the focus of the book. Instead, Nurse Derek asked each contributor to ‘go deeper’ into who their loved was a real person. Their strengths, weaknesses, struggles, tragedies and personal triumphs. These are stories which will reach out to the reader to engage their own life experiences in the hope of leading them to the experience of joy and healing from their loss of a loved one. |
